A small celebration was held at the home of Elizabeth Schofield to celebrate 25 years of hosting a peripatetic podiatry service run by Sue Bamber .. who produced a rather lovely cake for the occasion! On the right the patients await their cake! |

Autumn rains bring puddles, but this one, in School Lane outside Whitnell's, is really overdue for sorting. A plethora of signs on the A12 at Birchwood, right. |

Remedial work being carried out along Langham Lane to counter last year's flooding. Ditches left for many years have been scraped out, and, hopefully, all the water will get away this year . This is, of course, just the tip of a massive iceberg of necessary catch-up drainage works needed everywhere. |

Polypropylene pipe is being used, joined together and with corner pieces welded in, as is happening inside the tent, and the whole thing buries in a trench. The roads will be crossed by tunnelling ... I process I would like to see! |

Fibre is coming to Langham! At least to the Horkesley exchange numbers. Here engineers have opened up the access boxes in Hundred Lane by the Black Brook. The horse seems to have joined in with the colour theme! |

Birchwood Road has had a much overdue clean-up. the wooded areas either side of the A12 are, we believe, the responsibility of the Highways Agency, and have been overgrown for many years .. now for the broken railings! | ||||||||
